New website and donor journey redesign for a pan-African education non-profit. Built with multilingual support and an integrated fundraising portal.




THE PROBLEM
Roots Africa Foundation was operating across seven countries with a website that had been built piecemeal over years by rotating volunteers. The result was a fragmented experience that failed to communicate the scale and impact of their work, performed poorly on mobile, and had a donation flow with an abandonment rate above 75%. Multilingual needs across English, French, and Swahili were entirely unaddressed.




THE SOLUTION
We rebuilt the site around a single strategic priority: converting interest into action. The donation flow was rebuilt as a three-step process with clear progress indicators and multiple entry points from across the site. A multilingual framework was implemented using a structured CMS that allowed local teams to manage content in their own languages without technical support. Impact storytelling was restructured to lead with beneficiary outcomes rather than organisational process.
